Setting Action for When RFID Error Occurs

Configure screen operations and output signal settings when an RFID error occurs.

[RFID] > [Retry Mode]

Set the action for when an RFID error occurs.

  • [Retry]
    If an RFID error occurs, the product will retry writing according to the number of times specified in [Retries]. If the RFID errors occur consecutively, printing stops after the number of retries in [Retries] plus one more retry occurs, and the RFID error screen opens.
  • [Release]
    If an RFID error occurs, the next data is written, without trying to write the same data again. If the RFID errors occur consecutively, printing stops after the number of retries in [Retries] occurs, and the RFID error screen opens.

  • Operations when an RFID error occurs are as follows.
    • When [Retry] is selected in [Retry Mode]
      [Retry]: Retries writing the number of times in [Retries].
      [Cancel]: Deletes one item.
    • When [Release] is selected in [Retry Mode]
      [Retry]: Deletes one label of the print data, and then starts printing the next.
      [Cancel]: Deletes one item, and then starts printing the next.
  • To cancel an entire print job, switch the product to Offline mode, and then tap [Cancel].

[RFID] > [Retries]

Set the number of times the retry/release operations as set in [Retry Mode] are repeated when an RFID error occurs.

When set to [Unlimited], the RFID error screen does not appear, and the retry or release is performed an unlimited number of times.

[RFID] > [Mark Bad Tags]

Set to print a diagonal line and the error factor on the defective tag when an RFID error occurs.

Initial value: Enabled

 

[RFID] > [Undetected Warning]

To prevent wasting of RFID tags, printing stops and an RFID undetected warning error is displayed if there is no RFID command in the print job.

The RFID commands that are detected by this function are EPC code write command ESC+IP0, RFID write command ESC+RK, and UID/EPC/IDm print command ESC+TU.

  • [Disabled]
    The RFID undetected warning error is not displayed. Printing continues.

  • [RFID Tag]
    Printing stops and an RFID undetected warning error is displayed if there is no RFID command in the print job when an RFID tag is loaded.
    The error is no longer displayed if the media is replaced with normal labels.

  • [RFID Command]
    Printing stops and an RFID undetected warning error is displayed if there is no RFID command in the print job.

 

  • An RFID undetected warning is displayed even when using an RFID command that is intended to be detected in the print job, if it is written in the data that caused the command error.

Set the signal that is output when an RFID error occurs.

Initial value: [Level]

 

[RFID] > [Pulse Length]

Set the duration of the signal that is output when an RFID error occurs.

Available if you have selected [Pulse] in [Output Error Type].
