The startup guide is a function to help you through the initial product settings, such as setting date and time, and loading the ribbon and media. You can cancel the startup guide and perform the configuration later from the menu. • If you have installed the optional RTC (Real Time Clock) kit, the time zone, date and time setting screens appear. The startup guide lets you configure the product by the following flow: 1. Startup Screen 2. Language Selection Select the display language. 3. Region Setting with Optional RTC Kit Set the region (time zone). 4. City Setting with Optional RTC Kit Set the city (time zone). 5. Date Setting with Optional RTC Kit Set the date. 6. Time Setting with Optional RTC Kit Set the time. 7. Print Method Setting Set whether to use the ribbon or direct thermal media to print. 8. Ribbon Setting Load the ribbon. Appears if you have selected [Use Ribbon] in the print method setting. 9. Media Sensor Type Setting Set the sensor type for detecting the media. 10. Media Setting Load the media. 11. Completion of Initial Setup Screen Finish the startup guide. Startup Guide Cancelation To cancel the startup guide in the middle of the configuration, press the button. Select whether or not to show the startup guide during the next startup, and press the button to confirm. Back to top
