Wireless LAN Interface Connection (Standard)

The printer driver performs data communication using the dedicated SOCKET interfaces.

The communication condition settings must be configured according to your network environment. Set the IP address of the product.

The IP address of the product can be set through the product's [Interface] menu or the All-In-One Tool.

• This product cannot be directly connected to communication lines provided by telecommunications carriers (including mobile carriers, fixed-line carriers, and internet service providers), including public wireless LAN services. When connecting this product to the Internet, be sure to do so through a network managed by the customer. * A network managed by the customer refers to a network that is protected—along with the customer and the customer's systems—through measures such as the following: ◦ A network that is isolated and protected from the Internet by devices such as firewalls and routers (network segmentation). ◦ Devices connected to the network (such as firewalls, routers, and various servers including DHCP and NTP servers) as well as computers are maintained with up‑to‑date security patches (configuration management). ◦ Only authorized devices and users are permitted to connect to or log into the network (access control). ◦ The network status is monitored (fault management). For details, refer to the following guideline: NIST SP 800-215 Guide to a Secure Enterprise Network Landscape. • To use the printer driver, the communication protocol must be set to Status4. (The initial value of the communication protocol for the product's wireless LAN interface is Status4 ENQ.) • The product does not support Atheros, SuperG, or XR functions.
