View the video below for the procedure.Standard/Left-Hand Type Opposite/Right-Hand Type 1. Open the top cover (1). • Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of the cover.2. Turn the head lock lever (2) clockwise to unlock the print head. 3. Load an empty ribbon core (3) onto the ribbon rewind spindle (4). Insert the core all the way in.If there is any ribbon on the ribbon rewind spindle, remove it from the spindle before installing new ribbon.4. Load the ribbon (5) onto the ribbon supply spindle (6). While taking note of the winding direction, insert the ribbon all the way in.Make sure that the ink side of the ribbon is facing down when passing it below the print head.5. From the ribbon supply spindle (6), pass the ribbon below the print head (7) and to the ribbon rewind spindle (4). Face-in ribbonFace-out ribbon6. Wind the ribbon clockwise around the empty ribbon core and attach the free end of the ribbon to the ribbon core with adhesive tape (8). 7. Turn the ribbon rewind spindle (4) clockwise for several rounds to wind the ribbon while removing the slack from the ribbon. 8. If the media is already loaded, turn the head lock lever (2) counterclockwise to lock the print head. 9.
