Error Message 1112 (Print Area Error)
When there is an error with the product, the error message appears on the screen.
Check the cause and countermeasure, and then take appropriate action.
　
To clear the error:
Open/close the print head, or press the button (OFFLINE) or the button.
Next, press the button.

Cause (1)
The media size of the print data is longer than the actual media size.
Countermeasure (1)
Check the media size or specify different print data.
If this does not solve the problem, power the product off and then on again.

Cause (2)
The media is fed a shorter distance due to an incorrect sensor level.
Countermeasure (2)
Adjust the media sensor level.
If this does not solve the problem, power the product off and then on again.

The print area error appears when [Check Area Size] in [Advanced] under the [Printing] menu is set to [Enabled].
•
When [Enabled] is selected in the [Printing] > [Advanced] > [Check Area Size] > [Paper Size] menu, the detected media size (Size) will be displayed on the error screen.
•
When [Enabled] is selected in the [Printing] > [Advanced] > [Check Area Size] > [Over Size] menu, the amount of excessive print data that was detected (Over) will be displayed on the error screen.
•
When [Printing] > [Sensor Type] menu is set to [I-Mark], the value of the media size (Size) will differ according to the setting of the [Print Start Position] menu.
When [0 mm] is selected in the [Print Start Position] menu, the value displayed in media size (Size) is the total of the gap + the length of the media.
When [+3 mm] is selected in the [Print Start Position] menu, the value displayed in media size (Size) is the length of just the media.
•
Media size (Size) and over size (Over) are displayed in the units selected in the [System] > [Regional] > [Unit] menu.
