Replacing the Feed Roller

•	For Standard/Left-Hand Type

•	For Opposite/Right-Hand Type

You can easily remove and replace a damaged or worn feed roller.

• Do not power on or off the product, or connect or disconnect the power cord while your hands are wet. Doing so could cause an electric shock. • Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet before you replace the feed roller.

Required tool • Phillips screwdriver

Standard/Left-Hand Type

Opposite/Right-Hand Type

1.	Make sure that the product is powered off, and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet.

2.	Open the top cover.

• Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of the cover.

3.	Pull the feed lock latch (1) to unlock the feed roller and media sensor assembly (2).

The feed roller and media sensor assembly (2) flipped open.

4.	Loosen the screw (3) until the bearing clamp (4) is released .

Do not remove the screw.

5.	Remove the bearing (5) from the chassis and the shaft of the feed roller (6).

6.	Pull out the feed roller (6) from the product and replace it with a new feed roller.

7.	Insert the gear end of the new feed roller (6) fully into the center frame of the product.

8.	Place the bearing (5) back to the chassis and the shaft of the feed roller (6).

9.	Rotate the bearing clamp (4) onto the bearing and attach it with the screw (3) .
