You can easily remove and replace a damaged or worn nip roller. • Do not power on or off the product, or connect or disconnect the power cord while your hands are wet. Doing so could cause an electric shock. • Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet before you replace the nip roller. View the video below for the procedure. 1. Make sure that the product is powered off, and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet. 2. Open the front cover (1). • Open the front cover fully to its limit.3. Open the nip lock lever (2) to unlock it. 4. Remove the media and ribbon if they are already loaded. 5. Turn the two mounting screws (3) for the nip roller in the direction of the arrow to loosen them. 6. Pull the side plate (4) away towards you. 7. Pull the nip roller (5) and bearings (6) away towards you. 8. Install the new nip roller (5). a. Push the nip roller in the direction B so that the notch (7) in the end of the nip roller (5) secures the protruding the nip roller shaft (8). b. Install the bearing (6) on the new nip roller shaft (8). Install the bearing in the correct orientation.9. Attach the side plate (4) in its original position, and then turn the two mounting screws (3) for the nip roller in the direction of the arrow to firmly fasten it. If you cannot attach the side plate, check whether the nip roller and the bearing are installed correctly.10. Load the media and ribbon back if you remove them in step 4. 11. Close the nip lock lever (2). 12.
