Installing the Optional Linerless Cutter Kit (Type 1/Type 2)

• Do not connect or disconnect the power cord while your hands are wet. Doing so could cause an electric shock.

• Do not touch the terminals with wet hands. • Touching the edge of the print head with your bare hand could cause injury. • Be careful not to touch the cutter blade.

• The linerless kit must be installed in advance. If not, install the linerless kit first and then follow the procedures below.

1.	Make sure that the product is powered off, and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet or remove the optional battery.

2.	Press the cover open button (1) to open the top cover (2).

3.	Push the two tabs (3) toward the back to remove the inner cover (4).

4.	Remove two screws (5) and pull up the media guide (6) to remove it.

5.	Attach the media guide for linerless (7) and tighten two screws (5) to fix it.

The surface material of the media guide differs depending on the type of media guide.

The surface of the media guide (standard) removed in step 3 is smooth. The surface of the media guide for linerless is rough.

6.	Align the tab on the back of the inner cover for linerless kit (8) with the tab slot to attach the cover and press it in until it clicks.

7.	While pushing the lock buttons (9) on both sides, tilt the dispenser kit (10) toward the front to remove it.

8.	Insert the pins of the cutter kit so that they are aligned with the guides (), and attach the top of the cutter kit so that it fits onto the product and the buttons on both sides click ().

9.	Tilt the knob (11) on the left side toward the right to remove the front cover (12).

10.	Close the top cover.

Push both ends of the top cover, and close it firmly until it clicks.

• When closing the top cover, be careful not to pinch your fingers.

Specify the cutter type of the linerless cutter kit in the [Printing] > [Cutter Type] menu after you have installed it to the product.

When the [Printing] > [Auto-mode] function in the Settings mode is enabled, the print mode is automatically set to [Cutter]. To select a print mode manually, disable [Auto-mode] and select the print mode in the [Printing] > [Print Mode] menu.
