Printer Logging In/Logging Out

Before accessing printer functions, you must log in due to an added layer of security. The following procedure explains how to log in using either the factory-provided password or a SATO ID AUTH account.

• Most features under the [Setting] and [Other] menus are disabled until you log in, except for [Support], which remains accessible. • This feature is available only for CL4NX/CL6NX/CL4NX-J/CL6NX-J/CL4NX Plus/CL6NX Plus/CL4NX-J Plus/CL6NX-J Plus series that are installed with firmware version 1.16.0 or later.

1.	Click [Login].

• When the icon appears, it indicates that communication between the application and the printer is protected by encryption.

2.	Enter user and password, then click [Login].

• When signing in with an SATO ID AUTH account, click [SATO ID AUTH] to log in to the printer. The option is grayed out if you are not using the SATO ID AUTH account.

Upon successful login, the [Settings] and [Others] menus become available.

The printer status shows which user is currently logged in.

To log out of the printer

Click [Logged in as Manager]. A dialog box appears. Click [OK] to log out.
