Log Out of the Printer

Before accessing printer functions, you must log in due to an added layer of security. The following procedure explains how to log in either by entering the printer password manually or by using a SATO ID AUTH account to retrieve the unique default password.

• Most features under the [Setting] and [Other] menus are disabled until you log in, except for [Support], which remains accessible. • Login feature is available only on selected printer models. Refer to Supported Models for details. To enhance data security, we recommend enabling this feature, for more detail refer to: Enable/Disable Printer Login on Printer Page Enable/Disable Printer Login on Printer Page (For CL4-SXR and CL6-SXR Series)

1.	Click [Login].

• When the icon appears, it indicates that communication between the application and the printer is protected by encryption.

2.	Enter the [User] access level.

3.	Do one of the following to enter the password:

(a) To enter the printer password manually.

1) Enter the password.

　

(b) To retrieve the unique default password using a SATO ID AUTH account.

• This feature supports only printers configured with a unique default password. These printers include a password label in the package. • If the unique default password has been changed, you cannot use the retrieved password to log in to the printer. Use the changed password instead.

1) Make sure to sign in to the application with your SATO ID AUTH account. If you are not logged in to the SATO ID AUTH account, [Get Default Password] is not available.

2) Click [Get Default Password] to retrieve the unique default password.

▪	The password is filled in automatically. To view it, click .

• If you need assistance to log in to the printer, click [Contact us here] to submit a request.

4.	Click [Login Printer].

Upon successful login, the [Settings] and [Others] menus become available.

The printer login status shows the user access level that is currently logged in to the printer.

Log Out of the Printer

1.	On the Printer page, click on the printer login status.

2.	Click [Logout].

3.	A confirmation dialog appears. Click [OK] to log out.

• If the printer does not support the [Unlock Printer LCD] feature, skip step 2.
