Unlock the Printer LCD When the Printer Is Added to the Printer List

Use this procedure when the target printer has already been added to the printer list.

[Unlock Printer LCD] appears in the Printer Connection and Access panel when you have not logged in to the printer from the application.

• [Unlock Printer LCD] does not appear in the Printer Connection and Access panel for CL4-SXR and CL6-SXR series printers or for printers that do not support the printer login feature.

1.	On the [Printer] page, tap the printer that you want to use.

2.	On the dashboard, tap the printer icon to open the Printer Connection and Access panel.

3.	In the Printer Connection and Access panel, enter the [User] access level.

• If the printer has been logged in, log out of the printer to show [Unlock Printer LCD].

4.	Do one of the following to enter the password:

(a) To enter the printer password manually:

1) Enter the password.

　

(b) To retrieve the unique default password using a SATO ID AUTH account:

• This feature supports only printers configured with a unique default password. These printers include a password label in the package. • If the unique default password has been changed, you cannot use the retrieved password to log in to the printer. Use the changed password instead.

1) Make sure you are logged in to the application with your SATO ID AUTH account on the [Home] page.

If you are not logged in to the SATO ID AUTH account, [Get Default Password] is not available.

2) Tap [Get Default Password].

The unique default password is retrieved and filled in automatically. To show the password, tap .

5.	Tap [Unlock Printer LCD].

A dialog shows that the command to unlock the printer LCD has been sent successfully.

6.	Confirm the operation on the printer LCD, and then continue to operate the printer LCD menu.
