Retrieve the Printer Default Password

You can retrieve the default password by tapping your Android device or iPhone on the printer's NFC antenna.

• This feature supports only printers configured with a unique default password. These printers include a Default password label in the package.

Prerequisites:

•	Make sure you are logged in to the application with your SATO ID AUTH account on the [Home] page.

If you are not logged in to the SATO ID AUTH account, [Get Default Password] is not available.

•	Make sure that NFC is turned on for the Android device. NFC is always on for iPhone.

•	Make sure the target printer is powered on, NFC is enabled, and Power Save Mode is disabled.

1.	On the [Home] page, tap [Easy Printer Login].

2.	Tap [Get Default Password].

3.	Hold the Android device or iPhone close to the printer's NFC antenna. The NFC antenna location is marked with a symbol.

• Do not move the Android device or iPhone away from the printer until a dialog displays the password retrieval information.

A dialog displays the user access level and the default password for the printer.
