Features

The Mobile All-In-One Tool allows you to actively manage your SATO printers from an Android device or an iPhone with the following features.

　

Manage SATO Printers From the Printer List

The [Printer] page provides a simple way to add and manage your SATO printers.

From this page, you can add printers connected through TCP/IP (LAN or Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth.

After a printer’s connection information is saved, you can reconnect to it easily without re-entering the details.

Printer Configuration

◦	Users can create a new configuration file based on the selected printer model and save it to the Android device or the iPhone.

With the configuration file saved in the Android device or the iPhone, users can easily apply the same configuration to their SATO printers of the same model via TCP/IP (for printers connected via LAN or Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, or NFC interface. When configuring the printer using the NFC interface, please ensure that the printer is powered off due to its behavior. The received configuration data will be applied when the printer is powered on.

Applying the same printer configuration to multiple printers of the same model can be made more efficient by using this function. In particular, it is possible to set up printers without removing them from the packaging box at the distribution center, warehouse, or customer site.

◦	Users can also directly configure a selected printer connected via TCP/IP (LAN or Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth (Android device only) interface.

File Upload

Users can upload custom fonts to printer's memory to optimize print strings and enhance overall throughput.

Furthermore, users can upload a clone configuration file to the printer using the .pkg extension, or install an AEP package on the printer.

This functionality also enables authorized SATO technical personnel to install printer firmware or firmware patches on the printer.

In addition, users can upload security credentials (such as certificates or public keys) to the printer to support secure communication and authentication over supported network and file transfer protocols.

Create and Apply the Clone Configuration

Users can clone printer-specific settings from one printer to another printer of the same series, thus saving time in printer configuration. This is useful when you are setting up multiple printers with the same settings.

Test Print

The Test Print function enables you to perform a trial printing on a printer that is connected to your Android device or your iPhone. You have the option to choose between printing a test template or specific files.

Send SBPL

This function allows users to send SBPL commands to the selected printer and receive response from the printer.

Multiple Interface Connectivity

The application can remotely manage SATO printers connected via TCP/IP (LAN or Wi-Fi) on the same local network or using a Bluetooth interface.

　

Retrieve Printer Statistics Log

The Statistics Logger feature allows users to quickly access key printer statistics by simply tapping their Android device or iPhone on the printer's NFC tag. This works whether the printer is powered on, in standby mode, or powered off.

This feature optimizes service operations, enhances diagnostic accuracy, and supports effective maintenance and planning by allowing quick access to operational insights without the need to power on the printer or navigate through its menu manually.

Once retrieved, the statistics log appears on your mobile device screen. You can export and save the data for future reference or clear the log list to keep things organized.

Default Password Retrieval

Default Password Retrieval allows users to retrieve the unique default password for the printer login feature by tapping an Android device or iPhone on the printer’s NFC antenna. After retrieving the password, users can unlock access to the printer LCD menu from the [Default Password Retrieval] page.

Users can also retrieve the unique default password during the printer login process from the Printer Connection and Access panel or the [Easy Printer Login] page.

This feature is available only when users are logged in to the application with a SATO ID AUTH account and supports only printers configured with a unique default password.

Easy Printer Login

Users can use the Easy Printer Login function to log in to a printer from the [Home] page using the NFC interface. This is useful when the target printer has not been added to the Printer list, but printer login is required before using application functions.

From the [Easy Printer Login] page, users can log in to the printer, log out of the printer, and verify the printer login status.

License Activator

The License Activator feature allows users to activate or deactivate printer feature licenses by using the NFC interface.
